  • Property to provide home to charity and religious groups
  • Fundraising needed to cover purchase price

Weavers of the Web, an affiliate of the Aquarian Tabernacle Church, is holding a fundraiser on August 12, 2020 from 4pm to 8pm at Panera Bread, 310 N. Clippert St., Lansing, to raise funds for purchasing property. Panera Bread will donate 20% of all sales made during the fundraiser as long as customers show the flyer, either printed or on an electronic device.

Weavers of the Web was founded in 2018 by Rev. Elayne Glantzberg to provide a spiritual home for Wiccans and pagans in the greater Lansing area. Part of their mission, and that of the ATC, is to ensure that no one ever need be alone in their spiritual needs.

Weavers originally began meeting at a shared interfaith property in Lansing where they worked to build and maintain outdoor worship space, conducted joint celebrations with the local druid grove, and participated in a variety of events to support community outreach and education. The property also provided a home to Pagans In Need, a local food pantry and fellow ATC affiliate, as well as other spiritual groups and events including druids, Christian spiritualists, healing events, drum circles, and psychic fairs.

After the loss of this property in early 2020, all these groups and events were left without a home. Weavers of the Web plans to create a new home to continue to sustain and grow the local pagan community by purchasing and developing a new property. Rev. Glantzberg hopes the new property will support Weavers of the Web in expanding their offerings over the coming years, providing a home for support groups, scouting opportunities, festivals, and more.

We are raising $25,000 for a down payment on a new property. The August 12 event is one of many planned since fundraising for the project began at the end of 2019, but is the first that has been able to run since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March.

Weavers of the Web, ATC, is a public Wiccan church in the WISE tradition, committed to providing community support and open worship opportunities for all. For more information, visit www.weaversoftheweb.org, or contact Rev. Glantzberg at 517-657-5800.
