Join us in-person or online for our weekly Community Night: an open, cross-tradition discussion space where we learn, share, and build community together. We gather every Wednesday evening for discussion, meditation, ritual nights, and more, with time to socialize before and after.

We start at 6:00pm for casual social time, then at 6:30pm we begin the main discussion (and stream it live on YouTube). After the formal portion ends, we usually keep the Zoom call open a bit longer for chatting as folks head out.

This week: Ecstasy

When we say "ecstasy," we mean the old sense of the word. Ekstasis is Greek for standing outside yourself, and that is the kind of feeling you get when you step outside of ordinary consciousness long enough to touch the gods directly. You may have heard that Wicca is an ecstatic mystery religion, that our central truths can't be told no matter how many books are printed. Ecstasy is the word for that central experience we seek in our rituals, and it's why so much of our practice is built around trance states. Let's talk about what ecstasy looks and feels like, both from the outside and the inside, Gardner's Eight Paths of Power and other ways of categorizing ecstatic experience, and the work of helping a disparate group of minds come together to find a singular mystery.

What to bring (optional but helpful): a notebook, water, and a grounded body. If you're joining from home, set up a cozy ritual space (with candles, incense, etc.) so you can drop into the practice more easily.
