Boundaried
Seated within the energies of Beltaine, the Boundaried track covers personal boundaries, physical consent, boundaries in intimate contexts, pressure, community safety, and holding safe space for grief and spiritual integration.
Boundaried Badges
This is a living system. Badges that are currently available will be clickable for more information. Some badges require certifications from outside organizations. All require some combination of lived experience, knowledge, and demonstrated ability and understanding.
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all anything around here. Every badge will have more than one valid path, depending on both yours and our available resources, accessibility, and circumstances. Weavers clergy are always reviewing these paths, and they will help you find your own path and confirm your certifications.
As you earn badges along the Boundaried path, your personal Beltaine badge will gain more and more colors along the Hearthfire ring, eventually filling with the full rainbow you see above.
Personal Boundaries
Imbolc
Learn the difference between walls and flexible boundaries, the right to say no, and different styles of boundaries. Understand your own boundaries, and know where they are strong and where they are leaky.
This badge is about planning where to hold your boundaries before they are tested. See your own patterns from above.
Consent Matters
Ostara
Learn and practice explicit consent for touch and energy work: how to ask, how to decline, how to check in during ongoing contact. Includes both personal and ritual-specific contexts. Practice opt-in and opt-out protocols.
This badge is about bodily autonomy. Your body is yours. This is the most fundamental boundary, and holding it supports the Ostara oath of "I will choose life before death."
Intimate Boundaries
Beltaine
Let's get personal! Take a deep dive on boundaries in contexts involving emotional vulnerability, romantic and sexual dynamics, power differentials, and spiritual intimacy. This is not a sex-ed class, but a lesson in ethics. Includes clergy/congregation and teacher/student boundaries.
The Sacral chakra is where creation and vulnerability live together. Boundaries help make that intimacy safe for everyone.
Trust and Partnership
Litha
Working alongside someone without taking over control of the partnership is a skill. Your effort and your conduct are yours to govern; their methods, their pace, and their share are not. Letting go of the reins while holding up your side of the bargain is a hard balancing act that starts with a balanced Will chakra.
Safe Sanctuaries
Lammas
If you would like to step up and volunteer to host some of our community events, work with children, or handle sensitive information, the first step is clearing our Safe Sanctuaries requirements by getting a criminal background check and taking our Youth Protection Training program.
The Labor of Listening
Mabon
In times of grief and great difficulty, the boundaries around the labor of listening can be hard to hold. Learn how to hold space for others without immediately rushing in to fix it for them, the difference between empathy and enmeshment, and how to recognize when you're carrying someone else's emotional baggage so you can set it down and get on with your work to help.
Unseen Boundaries
Samhain
The veil between the worlds ebbs and flows with the Wheel of the Year. Learn how to work with that boundaries between the living and the dead: psychic protection beyond the basics of personal shields, setting ethical boundaries in trance and journey work, recognizing spiritual boundary violations and how to correct them, and practical banishing techniques.
The Limits of Loving Sacrifice
Yule
Are you that person who runs around like mad every December trying to put together the perfect holiday and gifts for your family and friends? It sounds like love at first, but often this results in running ourselves ragged and showing up for the big event as ... somewhat other than the way we might wish. By placing limits on what we are willing to do, we can show ourselves enough love to allow us to show up for others in the ways we truly wish.
